Therapeutic Programs
Therapeutic Programs
Our programmes provide:
A comprehensive assessment of emotional, social and cognitive abilities and specialist evaluation of mental state
A therapeutic plan outlining general goals, which will be integrated within the service users care plan.
A more detailed plan may be provided as part of the individual therapy process
An individualised weekly program for each service user identifying groups and individual therapy sessions to
attend
An evaluation of progress recorded in each person’s care notes
The philosophy and aims of our rehabilitation programmes are encompassed by a recovery model, which focuses on service user’s enablement, independence and community
reintegration.
A wide scope of services is offered through the therapeutic programmes catering for individuals who require different therapy approaches and levels
of support. Working closely with therapists, the programmes are designed to help service users achieve their identified goals and return to more
independent community living. Individuals are encouraged to take an active role in their recovery. Each programme has a treatment team member
assigned to facilitate groups.
Therapeutic programmes are tailored to identified areas for skill development. Service users work jointly with staff to gain a better understanding
of their illness, how to manage symptoms, medication awareness, how to improve health and fitness. Other life skills such as budgeting for
successful independent living also form part of the programme.
A highly skilled and experienced rehabilitation team includes a diverse range of health care professionals, each bringing specialist skills that
help individuals to achieve their optimum level of functioning.
