Cognithan has an exceptional, dedicated governance team with expertise in rehabilitation, nursing, quality assurance, health and safety, audit and risk management.
The Governance team brings together a wealth of long standing experience in managing clinical services in health and social care. Cognithan’s governing executive board are responsible for developing and delivering the organisation’s strategic plans and ensuring these reflect its principles and values.
The Governance team works closely with Cognithan’s Directors and service managers in carrying out the following:
Policy development, translation and implementation
Responding to legislative changes, evaluating their impact on services and ensuring compliance
Development and monitoring of quality standards and outcomes (this includes measuring the areas that matter to patients)
Quality assurance
Contributing to the healthcare economy, working with government agencies and private providers to ensure a collaborative and coordinated approach to the delivery of health services
Creating a culture of continuous quality improvement to enhance service delivery.
