Autism spectrum disorder is a developmental disorder that affects how a person experience relationship and interacts with the world around them.

Autism is a spectrum disorder, due to the broad range in level of impairments. While some individuals with autism are high-functioning and can lead relatively normal lives, there are many people with autism who never speak and are never able to care for themselves.

We support Adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to live, work, learn and play in their community. We work with adults with ASD across the lifespan, encouraging them to find meaningful employment and live independent lives as possible.

Cognithan provides community-based residential and supported living services for adults with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Providing social and vocational experiences in the community are key components for effective rehabilitation program that may lead to a life of dignity and independence for each service user.

Person Centred Support


We utilize a highly individualized approach to care and support. Individually tailored support plans can significantly improve the ability of the person to be successful in all areas of their life. Each service user is assessed to formulate a care and support plan unique to his or her needs and goals.

Types of ASD Residences


Choosing the residential program that will be right for the person should be done with the help of a professional who is familiar with the person’s needs. This is because no two residential services are exactly the same.

Supported Living services


Our supported living service for ASD are based on co-housing, and offers choice to its residents with individual, customised and flexible programs, supporting life skills training, continuing education, gardening, art/music, exercise and healthy lifestyles.

Residential Program


We provide supportive home-like environments to individuals with autism in the community.

All of our Autism’s adult homes are located in quiet, residential neighborhoods. Access to and involvement in the surrounding community is a high priority in our program, which is focused on adults living personally meaningful adult lives in comfortable surroundings while receiving services and support from our skilled professional team members.
