Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you will work collaboratively with service users with a complex mental health or learning disabilities diagnosis. The successful applicant would have demonstrated experience in the following:

• Supporting people with challenging behaviours including learning disabilities, mental health problems, epilepsy, etc

• Ability and willingness to provide personal care and support activities of daily living in a residential and supported living settings

• Supporting people with complex needs

• Assist with medical & welfare needs

• Maintain a safe and clean environment

• Strong Communication skills

• Satisfactory background checks

Activity Assistant

Part-time shift available weekdays and Saturdays

As our Activity Assistant, you will play an active role in supporting our service users through a variety of hands-on activities from pottery and painting and needlework. You will help deliver engaging experiences while providing general support throughout the day.

Part-time shifts are available Monday to Saturday. Applicants must be available to work at least two weekdays plus one Saturday per fortnight.

What you’ll be doing

• Designing and delivering meaningful activities to service users. 

• Transporting & driving service users on our mini bus to and from the centre-based program.

• Assisting with the group with local outings. 

• Promoting wellness, community inclusion, skills building and positive relation-ships. 

• Ensuring cultural appropriateness of all activities.

What we’re looking for

• Relevant qualification 

• Experience working in a community setting and in delivering appropriate social and recreational activities to vulnerable target groups including those with a disability 

• Administrative skills including the use of Microsoft packages 

• Driving licence with ability and willingness to drive a minibus
